We’ve been around since 1886 and today our space holds all the tales from our history. Underneath the alterations and additions, wallpapers of heritage, pub posters, and tiles, you’ll find the complex layers and sturdy bones that reveal the truth of what makes Merewether.
A place where both travelers and locals feel at home, in spaces imbued with beautiful design, vibrant food, and thoughtful details. Grounded in authentic community, local connection, and a Merewether state of mind — Welcome to The Beaches, where it’s a Sat’day arvo all year round, the beers are always cold and vibes are high.
The Beach Hotel comprises of three levels representing different aspects of Australian culture and design through the ages; from Larrie’s, a street-front beachside kiosk reminiscent of the classic local fish & chip shop of yesteryear, to The Beach Hotel Public Bar, a timeless space where nostalgic and casual modern touches meet in all the right ways framed by panoramic views of Merewether Beach, to Peregrin on level two, an elevated seaside dining experience.
